Hi folks, I don’t have much time to write this week, but I have written a major article and done an AMA at Baiguan - China Insights, Data, Context this week that I believe warrant your attention.
A government policy adviser told the Financial Times officials were probably looking at channelling money to households via measures that could include expanding the coverage of health insurance schemes and their levels of reimbursement. The government could also expand funding for education and the number of years of free education, the adviser said.
I also noticed more discussion on the subject on a broader sense
I would welcome an article on the consequences of moving to a consumption model. Opening restaurants, child/elder care centers, and other service-based industries sounds great theoretically and is pretty much inevitable. However, getting there could be incredibly painful as many sectors that have created growth would be negatively impacted.
